Prepare for a powerful birth & supported matrescence.

How do you prepare for the birth you want and deserve? Have you thought about your 4th trimester?

As your doula, I help you clarify your options, unpack your blocks and concerns, and prepare for this powerful rite of passage. I will help guide you through the confusing and often conflicting information surrounding birth so you can discover what is important to you and what birth you want to experience.

Birth is a portal. Birth has power. It will influence how your journey into motherhood begins. Support yourself and your family before, during and after this sacred time.

Hello, I’m Mindy.

BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA

I am an eternal optimist, joy seeker, foodie, ocean lover and sun worshipper.

I fell in love with all things birth when having my own three children.

The joy of yoga took me to India to learn more yoga and the love of food led me to study Naturopathic Nutrition.

My three little teachers (Noah, Jude and Archur) show me the joys and challenges of life and teach me endless patience, surrender and love.

I love talking & listening to all things birth and postpartum.

Being present in a family's sacred space during and in the tender time of postpartum is special and an incredible honour.

Q. How many hours of doula care are included in your birth packages?

Birth takes as long as it takes, I’m there for you no matter what!

Home visits postpartum are between 2-2.5 hours twice a week at least for the first couple of weeks and then spaced out according to your needs.

Q. What kinds of postpartum meals do you bring to families?

Warm, unctuous, delicious foods.

I trained as a nutritional therapist and have a love of Ayurvedic wisdom so the food I prepare is functional, meaning nourishing and delicious.

Q. Do I really need a doula?

It’s up to you! I’m here to improve your birth experience by reducing stress, increasing satisfaction, and maybe even shortening labor.

Q. What’s the difference between a postpartum doula and a birth doula?

A birth doula supports you to prepare for your birth and is with you throughout, while a postpartum doula helps after birth, nourishing you, helping with breastfeeding, emotional support, household tasks as you adjust to life with your tiny human.

Q. Will a Birthkeeper or Doula replace my partner?

No, I am there to work alongside your partner, not replace them. I provide extra support so your partner can stay focused on being emotionally and physically present. I also help your partner to feel supported by giving them guidance on how they can best support you.
